What are we doing?
In our Sustainability class we came across an opportunity to convert a car to run on vegetable oil. So we took that opertunity
and now we have the car converted and are hunting for oil.THis a far better alternative to fossil fuels.
Why are we doing this?
Fuels like gasoline pollut the air and are non renewable. Vegetable oil on the other hand produces zero emissions and is a
renewable resource. It comes from vegetables that can be grown again and again. We need to show the world that a car can run
on something other than harmful, pollutant fuels.
How are we doing it?
We go to restraunts to ask them for their oil, after filtration this will soon become fuel for our car. If we establish a relationship
with the restraunt then we can go to them for oil. A restraunt's oil is usally kept in a large 55 gallon drum behind their
building. We extract the oil with a filter, put it in a contaner and away we go with fresh fuel for our car.
